Uji Mikrobiologis Kualitas Air Sumur Penduduk di Desa Lalang. Medan Sunggal dengan Air Pengolahan

Abstract

This research entitled “Microbiological Test on Water Quality of Well at Desa Lalang, Subdiswtrict of Sungal. This research was conducted at Laboratory of PDAM Tirtanadi Jl. SM. Raja No. 1 Medan from January to March 2009.10 water samples were taken from wells at Medan Sunggal and 5 treatment water sample of PDAM Tirtanadi in Desa lalang subdistrict of Medan Sunggal. The observed parameters were the content of mineral and microbiology in water and chemical and physical characteristic. Of a research obtained that the well contain higher mineral contaminated by faecal bacteri and another ones such as Salmonella, Enterobacter. Besides the water from the well be show a higher turbidity than the treatment water from PDAM Tirtanadi. This indicates thet the well water was contaminated by bacteria and mineral that did not Fulfill the maximum content standard for drinking water and is not feasible for drinking water while the treatment water is safe for drinking water.
