This aims of this study is to determine the type of endophytic fungi isolated from andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) and to examined antagonistic activity to inhibit the growth of food spoilage fungi (Aspergillus sp1. and Aspergillus sp2.). Part of the plant sterilized and grown on PDA medium and then the endophytic fungi is examined by antagonistic test. Thirty two endophytic fungi were successfully cultured on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium. They consist of seven genera, such as Penicillium, Aspergillus, Rhizopus, Colletotrichum, Cochliobolus, Schizophyllum, and Trichoderma. From such genera Aspergillus and Penicillium were very often found. The result showed that seventy endophytic fungi were potential against the food spoilage fungi.en_US
