Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Obat di Kawasan Hutan Gunung Sinabung Kabupaten Karo Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The research of Medicinal Plants Species at the Forest area of Sinabung mountain Karo distric has been done from November 2009 until January 2010. Information about Medicinal plants species obtained by interviewing villagers at Kuta Gugung village that possess traditional medical skill, whereas sample has been taken by using survey methode. The research obtained 21 medicinal plants species, 3 species from Pteridophyta division and 18 species from Spermatopyta division. The type of medicinal plants that had been used the most is from Rubiaceae family as many as 4 species.
