dc.description.abstract“Induced Mutation of Caladium bicolor (W.ait) Vent. Using UV ray” has been done at Genetic Laboratory and Plant Physiology Laboratory FMIPA USU Medan. This research was aimed to study the effect of the interaction between UV ray intensity and time exposure on the growth of the Caladium. The design used complete factorial randomized design with 2 factors, that are UV light 4 levels : 0, 40, 50 and 60 Watt and the length of UV exposure with 4 levels : 1, 2 , 3 and 4 hours. The result showed that the increasing of UV up to 60 Watt and time exposure 4 hours, caused the decrease on height, length and width and number of leaves, the fresh and dry weight of the plants, along with the increasing of the length of exposure. Mean while the number of chlorophyll increase along with the increasing of the time exposure.en_US
