dc.description.abstractThe research that knowing the species of fungi in decomposition Avicennia marina’s litter after application of Aspergillus sp., Curvularia sp., and Penicillium sp. in the various salinity level has been done at Microbiology Laboratory, Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematic and Scientic, North Sumatera University from December 2009 until June 2010. The results of research indicated that fiveteen species of fungi were isolated from A. marina litter during decomposition including 8 genus, such as Aspergillus (6 jenis), Arthirinium (1 jenis), Basipetospora (1 jenis), Curvularia (1 jenis), Mucor (1 jenis), Penicillium (3 jenis), Saccharomyces (1 jenis), and 1 fungi unidentified (sp. 5). The highest diversity of species fungi at 0-10 ppt and the lowest at 20-30 ppten_US
