    Abstract
Research about “Study Of Diversity Makrozoobenthic in Lut Tawar Lake, Lut Tawar District, Takengon City Aceh Tengah Sub Province” was investigated on November 2009 - March 2010. The aimed of this research were to investigate the makrozoobenthic gender and diversity in Lut Tawar Lake and to find the correlation or relation among the values of physics and chemical factors of water with makrozoobenthic diversity index. Purposive Random Sampling method was applied to place sampling station and samples were collected from stations in each station conducted by 9 times restarting. Samples was taken by using Eckman Grabb then in filter by using Surber Net. Samples were identified in laboratory of Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Alam dan Lingkungan, Department Of Biology, Faculty Of Mathematic and Natural Sciences Of North Sumatera University. The result showed that there were 23 genera of makrozoobenthic within 3 phylum (Annelida, Arthropoda and Molusca). Goniobasis has highest population density with 101,23 ind/m2 found at station I, and Hydrobia, Gomphus, Helobdella, Kogotus, Thiara has lowest density population with 1,23 ind/m2. Hydrobia has highest population density with 133,33 ind/m2 found at station II, and Boyeria, Placobdell, Ophiogomphus has lowest density population with 1,23 ind/m2. Melanoides has highest population density with 103,70 ind/m2 found at station III, and Elimia has lowest density population with 1,23 ind/m2 .The highest Indekx Diversity (H’) was found at station II with 2,229 and the lowest at station III with 1,814. Analysis of correlation with Pearson test showed that Oxygen Saturation showed very strong and positive correlation to diversity of makrozoobentos.
