    Abstract
    Latex is one of the principal material in manufacture of crumb rubber. Latex quality is very influence thread of product. One of the parameter quality latex is Volatile Fatty Acid (VFA). This volatile fatty acid is resulted from convert lipid and carbohydrateby bacteria. Convert from bacteria is also will be decrease pH of latex and than cause pra- coagulation. Mesured of volatile fatty acid number doing by destilation-titration with Ba(OH)2 0,005N as titration solution. Base on date gained, volatile fatty acid number thread is suitable value has instruction by PT.Bridgestone Sumatra Rubber Estate is less than 0,07.
