In an effort to reduce the frequency of occurrence of Anode Effect is very necessary to control strategies in addition to the alumina feeding demand was also useful to prevent the formation of alumina mud (sludge) at the base of the furnace to a minimum so as to produce liquid aluminum (Molten) maximum, and the need for additional power supply to improve the efficiency of the flow (Current Efficiency) on the reduction furnace. Concentration of alumina in the electrolyte solution (bath) must be maintained between 2% - 3%, to prevent the anode effect in alumina concentration <1% and prevents the formation of mud (sludge) in an alumina concentration of> 4% which will hamper the process of electrolysis.en_US
