In making pulp with craft process NaOH and Na2S called as white liquor are used. This process runs in the digester unit. In this unit, it is expected to producing pulp with high quality. And chip ripeness is distributed well. This chip ripeness really depens on viscosity and kappa number. To produce good pulp viscosity 11-12 Cp is needed, and also low lignin content range 12-13. To obtain viscosity and kappa number targeted, control to temperature and time (H-factor) in cooking process. If the temperature is high and time of cooking is long, it can reduce the quality of pulp, because many cellulose and hemicelluloses fiber are broken, so the result is viscosity and kappa number refers to the H-factor.en_US
