Pengaruh Pemberian Jus Buah Delima (Punica granatum L.) terhadap Kualitas Sperma Mencit yang Telah Diinduksi Ekstrak Daun Tembakau

Abstract

Tobacco leaf extract led to a decline in sperm quality. Decline in sperm quality can be restored by administration of Pomegranate Juice. The study used male mice (Mus musculus L.) grown in fertile age ± 2 months. Mice weighing 20-22 grams were 24 tails. Mice were divided into 3 control and 3 treatment. Each consisting of 5 mice. Control 0 is the negative control which was only given distilled water, 1 control was positive controls were given extracts of tobacco leaves with a dose of 0,121mg/day/0,1ml mice and control 2 are positive controls were given pomegranate juice at a dose of 0.1 ml /day/ mice. In the treatment 1, 2 and 3 of extract of tobacco leaves with a dose of 0,121mg /0.1ml /day /mice and pomegranate juice with a concentration of 4%, 5%, 6% as much as 0.1ml / mice for 35 days orally. The recovery process is done in the control 2, treatment of 1, 2 and 3 were given pomegranate juice as much as 0.1 mg /day/mice. Surgery is performed after 35 days by cervical dislocation. Examination of spermatozoa using the Improved Neubauer counting chamber and the light microscope. The result is pomegranate juice may improve sperm quality in mice which fell due to tobacco leaf extracts.
