Research on the Social Behavior of Parent-Child Orangutan (Pongo abelii) at the
Orangutan Sumatra Viewing Center, Bukit Lawang, Gunung Leuser National Park has been carried out from September 2009 until February 2010. This study uses
Focal Animal Sampling with data recording instantaneous and ad libitum sampling.
Of the three objects obtained percentage research parent-child social behavior
