dc.description.abstractKidney excretion is the main organ, which is often damaged if exposed to toxic substances. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence or histologic changes in kidney of mice after administration of water extract of papaya seed and testosterone undecanoate for 24 weeks. Thi study used a complete randomized design (CRD) consist of 5 treatment group and 5 control groups. In Control, K0 to K4 is the control of each of the mice treated with each of the 5 mice. On treatment with a long exposure time for 24 weeks P0 to P4 is a TU injection interval of 6 weeks and intra muscular administration of water extract of papaya seed 30 mg / 0.5 ml / day / male mice orally. Every 6 weeks mice were sacrificed by neck dislocation, then the right and left kidney of mice made preparations by the method of paraffin block stained with haematoxylin eosin (HE). The results showed no significant difference between the control group K1 and P1 treatment groups (p <0.05), the control group K2 and P2 treatment groups (p <0.05), as well as the control group K3 and P3 treatment group (p<0,05). The control groups K4 and P4 treatment groups did not different (p>0,05), as well as the control group K0 and P0 treatment groups did not different (p>0,05). The conclusion of this study is the provision of water extract of papaya seed (Carica papaya L.) and testosterone undekanoat (TU) resulted in histological damage to the kidney with minimal damage in the form of narrowing of the lumen of the proximal tubule.en_US
