dc.description.abstract | “The diversity of macrozoobenthos in Sembilan Island Waters, subdistrict of
Pangkalan Susu, District of Langkat, North Sumatera”, has been observed.
The sample was taken from three stations of observation, nine replications were
conducted in each station. The point of sampling was determined by using Purposive
Random Sampling Method. The samples was taken by using surber net and the sample
was then identified in Management Laboratory of Natural Resource and Environment,
Study Program of Biology, Faculty of Matematics and Natural Science, University of
Sumatera Utara, Medan. The result of research indicated 19 genus of
macrozoobenthos consisting of 4 filum: Annelida, Arthropoda, Echinodermata and
Molusca. The highest density was found in genus of Cerithidea, 44,44 ind/m2 (station
I), and the lowest was found in genus of Ophiomastix, 1,22 ind/m2 (station II). The
highest diversity index of macrozoobenthos was found in station III, 2,121 ind/m2.
The highest uniformity index (E) was found in station II, 0,942 and the lowest one
was in station I, 0,914. The result of correlation analysis by Pearson-test indicated that
temperature, BOD5, salinity, organic substrat and pH have a strong correlation to
diversity index (H’) of macrozoobenthos. | en_US |
