dc.description.abstract | Research about “The Diversity and Distribution of Fishes at Kampai Island
Waters, Pangkalan Susu District, Langka Residence, North Sumatera” was done
at June 2010. Samples were taken from three stations and at each station was done
thirty times of repetition. The point of sample taking was using Purposive Random
Sampling Method. Samples were taken by using fishing net then identified that was
done in Laboratory of Natural Resources and Environment Processing, Biology
Department, Mathematic and Science Faculty, North Sumatera University. From
result of research were taken fish that were consists of 5 ordos, 15 families, 16
genus and 16 species. The highest value of density is at Dermogenis sp with value
6,13 ind/100 m2 (station II) and the lowest value of density is at Apogon sp with
value 0,94 ind/100 m2 (station III). The highest diversity is 2,452 (station I) and
the lowest value of diversity is 2,091 (station III). Based on that value, the diversity
of fishes at Kampai Island Waters is classified in middle level. The highest value of
uniformity is at station I with value 0,884 and the lowest value of uniformity is at
station III with value 0,754. Distribution pole of each species is classified in to
random, uniform and group. Temperature, salinity and BOD5 have real influence
to the diversity of fishes. | en_US |
