Abstract

Caustic soda is a solid substance has the from of white crystal usually used in washing of bottle. Caustic soda can provide a cleaning action with emulsification and saponification of fats, hydrolysis of proteins, dissolving carbohydrates and dispersing of insoluble matter. In addition of concentration of caustic soda, temperature also effect to the bottle cleaning level. Increase the concentration of the caustic soda and temperature has used in washing of bottle, the bottle cleaning level would be high too. Based this analysis, got the highes bottle cleaning level on concentration of caustic soda 3,6 % at 78oC. Universitas
