The research of Community Composition of Soil Macrofauna To Observe Of Soil
Quality Biological In PTPN II Sampali Area In District Percut Sei Tuan has been done
on February until March 2009.
The Research location was did in three location, the first location was tobacco
area, second location was sugarcane area, and third location was underbrush. Each
location used fifteen sampling plots or repeat plots by purposive random sampling
method, In each location used two methods by settled up Pit fall Trap and Quadratic
methods. Sample was identified in Laboratory of Animal Systematic Faculty
Mathematics and Science, University of North Sumatera.
Based on the research has been done get 5 classes, 12 ordos, 15 families, and
18 generas. The highest density of soil macrofauna and the highest relative density of
soil macrofauna was from genera Irydomyrmex that 126,80 individu/m2 and 50,96%
and the highest present frequency was 93,33% from genera Gryllus 1 that found in
second location (sugarcane area).
