Keanekaragaman Plankton di Pesisir Perairan Kuala Tanjung Kecamatan Medang Deras Kabupaten Batubara

Abstract

Have been done research with the title “Diversity Of Plankton in Kuala Tanjung Coastal Water District Medang Deras Regency Batubara”. This research is done with the method of purpossive Random Sampling that is determine 3 research stations of pursuant difference in community activities that take place in the area. The samples with 6 replications at high tide and 6 replications at low tide at each research station. The purpose of this study was to see the diversity of plankton and the relationship between physical factors with the chemical diversity of plankton. From the results obtained by the identification of 8 classes of phytoplankton are classified in 39 families and 64 genera and 7 classes of zooplankton that are categorized in 11 families and 15 genera. The total higest abudance pursuant to station obtained at station 1 that is 33.438,79 ind/l while to the lowest there is at station 4 that is 2.761,24 ind/l. The highest value of diversity index at station 3 that is 2,81 and the lowest at station 4 that is 2,53. The higest value of equatibilty index at station 3 that is 0,78 and the lowest at station 4 that is 0,70. The Results of correlation anlysis showed that pH, DO (dissolved oxygen), and BOD5 correlated very strongly to the Deversity Index (H’) plankton.
