The diversity of Macrozoobenthic in Downstream of Padang River Subdistrict of Medang Deras Distrisct of Batubara, has been observed. The sample was taken from five stations of observation, fourteen replications were conducted in each station. The point of sampling was determined by using Purposive Sampling Method. The samples was taken by using surber net and the sample was then identified in Management Laboratory of Natural Resource and Environment, Study Program of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, University of North Sumatera, Medan. The result of research indicated 13 genus of macrozoobenthic consisting of 11 families, 7 orders, and 5 class. The highest density was found in genus of Faunus, 191,11 ind/m2 (station I), and. The lowest was found in genus of Cardisoma, Mactra sp2, and Rhabdolaimus, 0,74 ind/m2. The highest diversity index of macrozoobenthic was found in station 5, about 1,51 and the lowest one was in station 4, about 0,51. The highest uniformity index (E) was found in station 2, about 0,96 and the lowest one was in station 4, about 0,37.en_US
