Area PTPN III Sei Mangkei The Fed Fertilizer Palm Oil Mill Waste in County
Simalungun conducted in September to October 2010. Method of determining sample
points is done by purpossive Random Sampling and sampling methods and Hand
sorting Square with plot size 30 x 30 cm x 20 cm with 15 plots at each study site.
Location I garden area which is not fed palm oil mill effluent (control), Location II
(Area of oil palm plantations have begun to dry (moist), Location III (Area of oil palm

contained in all three study sites, and Fridericia sp species found only in locations III.
Earthworm population densities are highest are Megascolex sp1). 22.96 individu/m2
density value and 55.37% Relative Density obtained at location III, while the
frequency of presence of 73.33% which is obtained at location II. Pontoscolex
corethrurus, Megascolex sp1 and Pheretima Posthuma including indicator species
with KR values ≥ 10% and FK ≥ 25%, which means the animals can live well.
