dc.description.abstractOne of the phase quality control in producing the rubber thread is swelling index. The swelling index measurements done in order know much swell of compound. Swelling index influences one of rubber thread physical parameter namely resistant at bereak. If swelling index at rubber is low so resistant at break is low which effect rubber theread which is produced become easy broken. On the other hand, if swelling index is very high so resistant at break is high which effect rubber thread is produced become easy slack. Swelling index which good to rubber thread count 42 SW ENDS 40 are 2,03 -2,12mm and the resistant at break are 3089 – 3457 g/mm2. Universitasen_US
