Soda losses is the amount of sodium that still in pulp out from system. This sodium come
from white liquor that used as cooking liquor in digester plant. Sodium is one of active
substance in white liquor soak into pulp to dissolve the other component in wood except
cellulose in cooking stage. Sodium and other component that dissolved in cooking liquor
will be wash at washing stage. However, in washing stage filtrate that used can not very
much because it will cause the problem in filtrate process to result back white liquor. This
is cause there are still sodium in pulp. This sodium will influence amount of consumpt
bleaching substances in bleaching plant
