Penentuan Kadar Besi dalam Aluminium Cair terhadap Kualitas Produk Akhir di PT.Inalum Kuala Tanjung

Abstract

Aluminum bar produced from aluminum liquid that has been processed in the reduction pot. Before casting into aluminium bar, the content of substance that content impurities must analyzed at the first. The main element to consider isiron. The method has done for the determination of the content of iron in aluminium with addition of aluminium liquid, casting of spect out and down grade. Observation obtained of Fe in the samples is 192886, 192966 and 192983 each of 0,196%, 0,181% and 0,183%. The content of iron in accordance with standar of PT.INALUM include in the samples is 192886 and 192983, while the sample 192966 is not accordance with appropriate standar. High Fe content in aluminium liquid lead aluminium bar will be colored dull, uneven surface and sussceptible to corrosion.
