dc.description.abstractDOBI and β-carotene were some indicator for the quality of CPO.Where Dobi was the ratio of the comparison absorbance in range visible and absorbance in range UV that was needed to determine quality CPO, whereas β-carotene was the photosynthesis pigment that orange that was important for photosynthesis. Quality CPO that was the requirement for early to produce the quality end product high. The price of the DOBI and β-Carotene who were high was the matter that very important to help process was used in purification. Concerning this above, then the processing of palm oil must be determined the DOBI and β-carotene in a spectrophotometrically, so as could meet standard the quality of oil that in accordance with standard quality (PORAM) that is for the DOBI standard the PORAM quality (1.4 min) whereas for β-carotene standard the PORAM quality (500 – 700 ppm).en_US
