Pengaruh Turbiditas dan Penambahan Klorin terhadap Kualitas Air dalam Clarifier (53-FD-1001) Unit Utility-1 PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda Aceh Utara

Abstract

Turbidity hardly influences water quality especially at the rains. Turbidity influenced by existence of suspensions solid in water especially solid matter. Elementary concept in decrease of turbidity based on electrical charge from suspended in water. Generally negative suspended particle with anion in water. When this negativity electrical charge in neutralizing with positive electrical charge, hence charge will become neutral and sedimentation will be formed. The purpose of addition of chlorine matter is to kill microorganism in water, besides that also to prevent incidence of moss at wall clarifier and will bother process hereinafter. The addition of chlorine 120 kg/day (3 ppm).
