The dissolving of lignin component and extractive substance from the wood, most of them happen in extraction oxidation stage. Pulp suspension that in the beginning have low brightness, with the addition of the oxygen it can increase the brightness become higher. Therefore, in this stage the lignin component and extractive substance will have maximal solubility. In the other hand, the oxygen can used for derivation of the kappa number so it will decrease the quantity of the lignin in the pulp. In this stage, if the brightness didn’t suitable with the standard the using of the oxygen will be needed to make the oxidation process become faster and with the addition of the peroxide we can get the pulp with brightness 89-90 % in the final products.en_US
