dc.description.abstractThis paper is done to determine the iodine value of fatty acid FAB-H before and after hydrogenation. The determination of iodine value for fatty acid FAB-H will be done using Wijs method. Wijs is ICl solution of 0,2 N. the reason the usage of Wijs method in determining iodine value is that this method is more practical and gives better result. The average iodine value obtained before hydrogenation is 34,24 and the average iodine value obtained after hydrogenation process is 0,6. From the result obtained, the iodine value after hydrogenation has met the company’s standard, which is up to 1,0.en_US
