Analisa Kadar Alfa Selulosa dari Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit dengan Metode Gravimetri

Abstract

Has done an analysis of alpha cellulose content of oil palm empty fruit bunches by gravimetric method. Levels of alpha cellulose was analyzed by soaking cellulose in cold 17,5% NaOH, then in the pressed with a spatula. The sample was filtered with a cup of masir, the residue was washed with 8,3% NaOH and distilled water. Residues in soak for a while with acetic acid and then washed with hot water and alcohol. The residue was dried in the oven and let cool. Residues then weighed and the weight results obtained are stated as alpha cellulose content. Levels of alpha cellulose obtained ranged from 41,78% – 74,03%.
