dc.description.abstractThis study aims to investigate food habits of the species cencen fish (Mystacoleucus marginatus). The study was done from December 2012, in Batang Toru river. Fish samples, collected by net and gill net. Stomach content was analyzed using Index of preponderance. Stomach contents of the fish was consisted of 4 class Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Ciliophoraand added some unidentified (such as foot dan the cutting of insect body). The group of Chlorophyceae is a main food, unidentified group is a complement food and than Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Ciliophora as additional food. The natural food has a good correlation with penetration.en_US
