dc.description.abstract | Research on " DIVERSITY OF MACROZOOBENTHOS AT SIPOHOLON HOT
SPRING SOURCE IN NORTH TAPANULI’’has been carried out in March 2013.
The station of Sample selected by purposive random sampling method . The Samples
were taken from four stations and each station do five repetitions . The Samples were
taken using Eckman grabb and nets surber . The identification was did in the
Laboratory of Natural Resources Management and Environment, Department of
Biology , Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of North Sumatra .
from the reseach was got the class of Macrozoobenthos Crustaceae ,
Gastropoda and Insecta . Then from the third class were found sevent genus namely
Chironomus , Ephidra , Pedicia , Limnea , Pleucera , Hidrobiomorpha and Ghompus .
The Value of density , relative density and the highest frequency in the presence of
Chironomus with respective values of 190 ind/m2 , 100 % and 80 % . Value of the
relative density and the presence of the lowest frequency found in Ephydra and
Hidrobiomorpha which were 2 ind/m², 4,4 % and 20 % . The highest diversity index
values found in station 4 is 12.971 and the lowest at station 1 and station 3 is 1. The
highest index value uniformity was found at station 2 is 15.93 and the lowest at
stations 1 and 3 is 1 . The Macrozoobenthos diversity patterns of each station
belonging to a group and not normal . From the results of the correlation analysis
showed that temperature was positive correlated to the diversity of macrozoobenthos .
Higher the temperature, less diversity of macrozoobenthos. | en_US |
