    Pengaruh Ekstrak Kulit Manggis (Garcinia mangostana L.) terhadap Hitung Leukosit dan Diferensiasi Leukosit Tikus (Rattus norvegicus L.) Jantan setelah Dipapari Kebisingan

    Abstract
    Exposure to noise that exceeded the ability of adaptation can lead to various medical disorders, such as distress caused by stresses. Mangosteen peel extract contains active compounds that have pharmacological activity which could lessen the impact of distress. Number of leucocytes and leucocytes types are used to determine whether there is or there isn’t medical disorders that are occurring in the body. This study was an experimental study using complete randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatment group and 5 replications. (P0) was a blank control, (P1) was given control of mangosteen peel extract from the 1st day until 16 st day and (P2) was given both control of noise from the 1st day until 16 st day and distilled water. The next groups were given a mangosteen peel extract from the 1st day until 16 st day and then given noise with different noise levels, namely: (P3) 25-50 dB, (P4) 55-80dB, (P5) 85-110 from 9 st day to 16 st day. The volume of mangosteen peel extract was given is 0.5 ml /day/oral. The results showed an increase in total number of leucocytes, lymphocytes and monocytes cell count but decreased in neutrophils cell counts. The results of statistical tests showed there is no significant differences from the amount of leucocytes, neutrophils, basophils, lymphocytes and eosinophils cells count but significantly different in the number of monocytes.
