The research of “Species and Composition of Amphibian Community at Batu
Mbelin Village, Sibolangit District of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra” has been
conducted from June-July 2012. The research’s object was determine the spesies
and composition of amphibians conducted by using methode place purpossive
random sampling. Sampling has been made by using VES-NS. Sampling was
conducted at 3 location, location I forest river, location II subforest river and
location III urban river. The research it is found that 5 families, 9 genera and 17
species of amphibia. Limnonectes kuhlii were spesies with highest density value
53,33 ind/ha (location I), Rana hosii 44.00 ind/ha (location II) and Leptophryne
borbonica 100.00 ind/ha (location III). The highest frequency value in each
location was included in category “assesori”, Limnonectes kuhlii 30% (location I),
Rana hosii 35% in location II and Leptophryne barbonica 25% in location III. It
means all species in this category are the spesies which can life and breeding at
research location. Highest species composition is Limnonectes kuhlii (location I),
Rana hosii (location II) and Leptophryne borbonica (location III).
