    Abstract
Kappa number is one of quality parameters in pulp industry. Kappa number is used to measure the degree of pulp delignification in bleaching plant. By making the variations of % charge chlorine dioxide (ClO2) in stage one of bleaching plant, it will obtained by varying kappa numbers. Kappa number analysis is done by titrimetric using oxidation – reduction methods. From the analysis, the greater the % charge chlorine dioxide (ClO2) in bleaching plant, kappa number will be more small.
