dc.description.abstract | The effects of ultraviolet radiation to morphology of Betta splendensRegan and
karyotype description has been studied. The objectives of study are to determine
the time length of exposure to ultraviolet radiation can cause mutagenesis on Betta
splendens, to determine the phenotype changes, to determine find out the
fertization and survival rate of larvae up to days 14 after exposure to ultraviolet
radiation and to know the Betta splendens Regan karyotype. Researchis design
according to Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with the treatments are
untreated control (no radiation), radiation for 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15
minutes by using light intensity of 30 watts and 254 nm wavelength. The results
of the study showed the highest fertization rate is find in control with the number
100%, while the lowest fertilization rate is find in radiation for 15 minutes with
the number 62,7%. The highest survival rate of larvae up to days 14 is find in
control with the number 100%, while the lowest survival rate of larvae up to days
14 is find in radiation 15 minuteswith the number 39,2%. The colour performance
of Betta splendensRegan body of this research are red , blue, light blue, blue and
yellow combination albino. Fin color of Betta splendensRegan are red, red and
white combination, bluish red, light blue, blue, and white. The shape off fin of
Betta splendensRegan are halfmoon, butterfly, and beams. While Betta
splendensRegan karyotype has not changed. | en_US |
