dc.description.abstractBelawan river water into the raw water in the taps Tirtanadi IPA Sunggal. From upstream to downstream past the few settlements in the District Pancur Stone and district of Medan Sunggal. The human settlements cause Belawan river is being polluted. Raw water and then through various treatment processes to be reservoir water is water that is ready to be streamed to the public. Manganese is one of the inorganic waste that can be found body water. Which is often found in water quality is shaped manganese ion (Mn2 +), (Mn4 +) and (Mn6 +). Manganese compounds can vary depending on the degree of acidity (pH) of water. Manganese content can be determined Colorimeter DR / 890. Level manganese in the raw water is 0.111 mg / L, and the levels of manganese in the water reservoir is 0.026 mg / L. Requirements for the manganese content of raw water according to Regulation Government No.82 of 2001 was 0.1 mg / L and for the water reservoir by Minister of Health No. 492 April 19, 2010 is 0.4 mg / L.en_US
