Keanekaragaman Plankton di Sungai Buaya Kabupaten Sergai dan Kabupaten Deli Serdang Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Have been done research with the title “Diversity Of Plankton in Buaya River Regency Sergai And Regency Deli Serdang North Sumatera”. This research is done with the method of Purpossive Random Sampling that is determine 3 research stations of pursuant difference in community activities that take place in the area. Intake sampel by 3 restating times rill each research station. This research target is to see the diversity of plankton and the correlation between chemical physical factor with the plankton diversity. From the results obtained by the identification of 5 classes of phytoplankton are classified in 12 families and 17 genera and 6 classes of zooplankton that are categorized in 7 families and 9 genera. The total highest abudance pursuant to station obtained at station 1 that is 4734,69 ind/l while to the lowest there is at station 2 that is 2244,90 ind/l. The highest value of diversity index at station 3 that is2,39 and the lowest at station 2 that is 1,66. The highest value of equability index at station 3 that is 0.80 and the lowest at station 2 that is 0.61. Result of correlation analysis showed that BOD5, light penetration, nitrat and phosphate correlated very strongly to the Diversity In deks (H’) plankton.
