Penentuan Viskositas Pulp pada D0 dalam Proses Pemutihan Pulp (Bleaching) di PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk-Porsea

Abstract

Has conducted test on viscosity which aims to determine the viscosity of which is owned by the pulp after the bleaching process. This test evaluates the degree of polymerization of the cellulose or the degradation of cellulose fibers. Determination of viscosity in PT. TOBA PULP LESTARI,Tbk-PORSEA were performed using an Ostwald viscometer and the Ostwald method. In this method involves determining the viscosity of the pulp is mixed with a solution Cupri Ethylene Diamine (CED) 12.5 ml and 12.5 ml of water distillate. To abtain the desired viscosity of the pulp according to standard then any addition of chemicals to be stable. Of the analysis carried out showed that the viscosity of the pulp obtained according to standard used by PT. TOBA PULP LESTARI,Tbk- PORSEA is 12 Cp.
