Has been conducted in a trial on the effect of rising CO2 on levels of trimethylamine (TMA) and TMA content changes after entering the TMA catchpot in the purification process of methanol distillation. CO2 obtained from experiments at 8.68, 10:03, 9.89, 9:56, and 9.77 in methanol and also obtained raw TMA levels in raw methanol before entering the TMA catchpot is at 118.76, 202.27, 195.45, 122.72, 133.63, and after entering the TMA TMA levels catchpot amounted to 2,237, 2,289, 2:57, 2,311, and 2,156. Of the experiment shows that the greater the concentration of CO2 in the raw methanol is also greater levels of TMA and TMA levels decreased by TMA catchpot, this is due to the alkaline NaOH to neutralize TMA levels in the raw methanol.en_US
