Penentuan Kadar Abu (Ash Content) pada Karet Remah Mutu Sir 20 di PT. Pantja Surya Perdagangan

Abstract

Ash content testing had been done on the quality of crumb rubber sir 20 which aims to determine the high and low ash content for the crumb rubber on the quality sir 20. This determination process is carried out at a temperature of 550o C ± 20o C with a time of 2 hours. Ash content calculation results obtained for the crumb rubber from the first day until the tenth day in accordance with the Standart Indonesian Rubber (SIR) 20 namely 0,63%, 0,50%, 0,61%, 0,62%, 0,60%, 0,58%, 0,59%, 0,61%, 0,67% and 0,63%. Where in the maximum ash content in accordance with standart indonesian rubber is 1,00%. If the resulting ash content is high, then it is due rubber when the production process is done. So the crumb rubber produced is not in accordance with the applicable regulations.
