dc.description.abstractResearch on the effect of adding Soda Ash to the pH of raw water in drinking water treatment in PDAM Tirtanadi Hamparan Perak. Has been examined on the pH of water in PDAM Tirtanadi Hamparan Perak with normal pH of 6.90 and a turbidity of 88.90 NTU. The method used in this process using the Jar Test. Before the Jar Test conducted by making soda Ash saturated with optimum pH and using PAC 1% and appropriate recommended dose. then do Jar Test with a stirring speed of 140 rpm for 5 minutes to homogenise the solution and stirring slow 50 rpm for 10 minutes and allowed to stand for 20 minutes for the deposition process. The results showed by using a solution of 1% corresponding PAC PAC recommended dose gained 0.62 NTU turbidity and pH of 6.70 and a dose of 25 ppm PAC. Once back in the water Jar Test of a new standard with the same PAC dose of 25 ppm and the stirring slowly dripped soda Ash Saturated based pH optimum pH of 7.00 was obtained with the same final turbidity is 0.62 NTU on a 2 ml solution of soda Ash saturated.en_US
