Jenis Kupu-Kupu Sub Ordo Rhopalocera di Kawasan Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser Pusat Pengamatan Orangutan Sumatera (PPOS) Bukit Lawang Kecamatan Bahorok Kabupaten Langkat Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The Research about Butterfly Species of Suborder Rhopalocera In The Leuser Mountain National Park Sumatran Orangutan Observation Centre (PPOS) Lawang Hill Bahorok District Langkat Regency North Sumatra was studied from March until April 2015 in order to determine the number of types of butterflies using survey and shooting methods. The results showed that the number of species of butterflies from sub order Rhopalocera found consists of 4 families (Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae and Lycaenidae) with 75 species of which 26 species with 3 families (Papilionidae, Pieridae and Nymphalidae) were found in forest and 58 species with 4 families (Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae and Lycaenidae) were found on the riverside. All species of butterflies were found 14 type of plants, 7 type are food plants and 7 species are not food plants for butterflies.
