dc.description.abstractThe diversity of fish in Silang river, subdistrict of Baktiraja district of Humbang Hasundutan has been observed in Mei 2016. Determination of the research station by using “Purposive Sampling Methode”. Seven genera of fishes, classifying into two ordo (Perciformes, Cypriniformes) are recorded from the study area. The highest diversity is found four location with the number 1,398 ind/m2 and the lowest two is found at the last location with the number 1,076 ind/m2 . The lowest diversity is recorded from four location with the number 0,718, while the lowest is found in the two location with the number 0,553. Temperature and Total Suspended Solid (TDS) are very strong correlated to the diversity of fishes.en_US
