It had done the experiment of phytochemical screening, the antibacterial activity of
ethyl acetate extracts by lanseh parasite leaf (Loranthus Sp). The powder of lanseh
parasite leaf is extracted maceration using methanol to produce as much as 50 g of
methanol extract, methanol extract is diluted with ethyl acetate and ethyl acetate
extracts produced as much as 20 g. Based on phytochemical screening of the
methanol extract contains coumponds by alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids and
tannins, while on the ethyl acetate extract containing flavonoids. Against the ethyl
acetate extract obtained antibacterial activity test performed by disc diffusion
method with a concentration of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and as a comparison is used
DMSO. The test results ethyl acetate extracts showing activity in distinct
inhibition against the growth of bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus
aureus. The ethyl acetate extract with a concentration of 20%, 30%, 40% were able
to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus 9.3 mm, 10.3 mm, 10.7 mm but the
bacteria Escherichia coli not show any inhibition zone in bacteria.
