dc.description.abstract | The experiment was conducted using the "Survey Method" to determine species
of ferns in Sinabung Mount Forest climbing lane of Sigarang-garang, Suites of
Karo, North Sumatra. Found 32 species of ferns are included in 2 class, 5 orders,
15 families and 25 genera that have differences characteristics habitat, rhizome,
stipe, enthal, and sorus with most species are family Polypodiaceae. Of the 32
species ferns total, 22 species are terrestrial, 5 species are epiphyte and 5 species
are terrestrial or epiphyte. Of the 32 species found, selected 14 species belonging
to 3 families are Aspleniaceae, Athyriaceae and Polypodiaceae. The ferns are
divided into two main groups based on morphological variation analysis using
NTSys program with a range of morphologies between 49 to 90%. The first group
consists of 4 species (Diplazium dilatatum, Diplazium kunstleri, Diplazium
pallidum and Diplazium simplicivenium) with morphologies ranging between
78 to 86%, the second group consisted of 10 species (Asplenium nidus, Asplenium
pellucidum, Asplenium scalare, Belvisia revoluta, Polypodium feei, Crypsinus
stenophyllus, Pyrrosia floccigera, Dipteris conjugata, Phymatosorus longissima
and Goniophlebium persicifolium) with a range of similarities between 49 to 90%. | en_US |
