Abstract

At drying unit in PT. BRIDGESTONE SUMATERA RUBBER ESTATE, Dolok Merangir, crumb rubber will be dried by tray dryer . The drying done with two step. First step, crumb rubber is dried at 135°C during 13 minutes to decrease the water content of crumb rubber. While at the second step crumb rubber is redried to decreasing the water content of crumb rubber at 128°C, that the drying process crumb rubber indirect on line, but the material is dried by using the fire of fan. The fan also have function refrigerator after the first drying done.
