It has been done for determination of sulfur dioxide in sample of ambient air from UPT Laboratory BLH North Sumatera with pararosaniline method by using spectrophotometer UV-Visible at a wavelength of 550 nm. From the data obtained concentration of sulfur dioxide in the sample i, ii, iii, and iv is 0,0017 ppm, 0,0012 ppm, 0,0014 ppm, and 0,0015 ppm. Based on the Decision from the Minister of Health No.1405/MENKES/SK/XI/2002 on 19 november 2002 the standard quality of sulfur dioxide is 2 ppm, so the sampel of ambient air is not contaminated.en_US
