One of the very important process in the pe -made pulp is wood chips
cooking process. Where this process is said to be the early stages of the pulping
process. The purpose of this cooking is for the separation of cellulose and
hemicellulose from the lignin and extractive substances . In the cooking process in
the digester unit there are a few things to note for good produce pulp that is
temperature and time ( H – factor ) because it greatly affects the kappa number in
the pulping process . The H - factor will destroy the strength of the pulp . And if
this variable is too low then the resulting yield very little. In PT.Toba Pulp Lestari
Tbk Porsea produced kappa good on the digester is 11-13, dan viskosity 11-12 Cp
the temperature used is 165-170 , the H - factor is carried out between 2000-2200
. But this is also done depending on consumer demand , how viscosity ( strength )
pulp they ask for them to buy in PT.Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk Porsea .
