Aluminium is produced contains many elements of impurities such as Fe, Si, Cu, Ti, Mg, Mn, V, Ga, Na, Ni, Zn, Cr, B and Pb. But the impurities of the most influential in the quality of aluminum, namely: Fe and Si. Because it can cause instability in the reduction pots, pots instability is called the noise. Noise is an instability that causes the flow between the anode metal shock if it is above 100 mV. When the noise is below 100 mV will not affect the levels of iron (Fe) and silicon (Si). By controlling the noise is expected to stabilize and increase Fe and si in pot is not significant. At the reduction plant, noise is not too often, because the more frequent noise occurs then the percent impurities Iron (Fe) and Silicon (Si) increases. The content of Fe and Si was determined by taking samples of metal which is then analyzed by using OES (Optical Emission spectrophotometer) in the SQA. Metal sampling was conducted to determine the quality and the occurrence of leakage of liquid metal in the pot. Pot leaks that occur due to impurities of Iron (Fe) and Silicon (Si) is high.en_US
