Penentuan Kadar Betametason Valerat dalam Krim Betason- N Secara Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi di PT. Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk. PLANT MEDAN

Abstract

Betamethasone is a corticosteroid drug that is in its structure containing fluorine and have a strong work against allergies and local inflammation. Betamethasone in the form of creams usually contain compounds Betamethasone Valerate 0.1 %. The purpose of this investigation is to determine whether the levels of betamethasone valerate cream dosage formulations produced by PT. Kimia Farma Tbk. Plant Medan qualify as stated in the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia Edition V where’s Betamethasone valerate cream contain compounds of betamethasone valerate , C27H37FO6, equivalent with betamethasone, C22H29FO5, is not less than 90.0% and not more than 110.0% of the amount listed on the label in base the appropriate of cream. Determination of betamethasone valerate done using high performance liquid chromatography method in accordance with the procedures and tools brand Waters 1525 HPLC pumpwith a maximum wavelength of 254 nm. The results showed that the average level of betamethasone valerate in the betason-n cream of the batch A60118 T, batch A60119 T, batch A6120 T which is produced by PT. Kimia Farma Tbk. Plant Medan respectively 103.197 % ; 102.113 % ; 100.760 %. Indonesian Pharmacopoeia Fifth Edition gives betamethasone cream content requirements, is not less than 90.0 % and not more than 110.0 % of the amount listed on the label, so that the determination of which do meet the requirements.
