dc.description.abstract | The use of bleaching earth after coated chitosan as an adsorbent to adsorption iron ion metal (Fe) using Atomic Absorption spectrophotometric method has been studied. 3 g activated bleaching earth, chitosan and bleaching earth after coated chitosan added into iron standard solution (Fe) which has a variation of concentration 2,0; 4,0; 6,0; 8,0; and 10,0 mg/L. Stirred up to 15 minutes, filtered and measured by iron ion metal concentration (Fe) using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer instrument with calibration curve. Adsorption of iron ion metal (Fe) is 96,9350%, 94,9475%, 92,2710%, 90,1512% and 87,6310% for activated bleaching earth, while of 93,7300%; 91,5125%, 89,3766%, 87,6375% and 84,5630% for chitosan and 99,8700%, 99,2325%, 98,3533%, 95,3562% and 93,1670% for bleaching earth after coated chitosan. The result of research show that bleaching earth after coated chitosan the best can adsorps iron ion metal (Fe) is (99,8700%) than activated bleaching earth (96,9359%) and chitosan (93,7300). | en_US |
