Sweetened condensed milk is a dairy product shaped viscous liquid obtained from
a mixture of milk and sugar by removing some of the water so as to achieve a
certain density. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the levels of fat in
sweetened condensed milk and compliance with requirements allowed by the
government. Determination of fat content soxhletation performed according to the
method in accordance with the procedures and tools used in food laboratories and
hazardous materials Drug Agency and food in Medan. The analysis showed that
the sweetened condensed milk is checked in fat as much as 9.41%, these results
meet the requirements of the fat content in sweetened condensed milk which is
authorized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in ISO 2971:
2011. Fat content for sweetened condensed milk is 8- 10%.
